A quick update on the IAED Happenings!
IAED Feb. Board Meeting:
The conference weekend started Tuesday, 8 February for Board Members. A full day of board meetings was scheduled prior to the conference to update the IAED Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws.
The minor upgrades to the IAED By-Laws improved communication among members and to improve the efficiency of annual voting. In short, the old by-laws required written notice for all meetings. Current changes allow for electronic notification (e-mail). In addition, voting procedures were upgraded to allow for on-line ballots. Previous voting procedures limited the votes to only members physically present at the general meeting. The changes were reviewed and unanimously approved by general membership present.

Conference 2011:
Please extend your appreciation to our Conference Committee who organized and conducted a great program: Lee Follett – Chair, Meredith Barlow, Jim Koostra, and Randy Verink.
The conference was 3 days of well organized and progressive lectures from the leading names in the industry.
The exhibitors at the conference are a very important part of the overall program. They included: Capps Manufacturing, Inc., Equine Specialities, Harlton’s Equine Specialties, Inc. These companies make significant donations to the Crisis Fund Auction. This years Crisis Auction totaled over $4,000.-
Certification:
The Certification Committee has donated endless hours to establishing a written standardization for Certification. The Certification Standardization and Guide can now be presented to a potential facility to insure all aspects of the event can be supported.
