The International Association for Equine Dentistry (IAED) supports the Australasian Association for Equine Dentistry (AAED Inc) in its endeavours to pursue the development of National Accreditation and competency based training for Equine Dental Providers in Australia. National Accreditation in Australia will create standaridized training and course content that considers the health of the horse paramount and will reflect world best practice.
A National Curriculum will guarantee the availability of standardized and consistent Equine Dental care to horse owners. This insures the public a right to choose a provider based on training and experience and allows freedom of competition in Australia for the delivery of services. The International Association of Equine Dentistry applauds the Australian Government in its effort to support the development of competency based training for Equine Dental service providers.
