Karina Lewis is an advanced, lifetime career professional with over 30 years as an equine dentist and farrier. Her education began on the remote cattle ranch she was raised on in Tarkio, Montana. Karina started hand floating horses at the age of 15 in 1975. By the end of her senior year she was responsible for the functional mouths of over 300 horses per year. This ranching background introduced her to both domestic and wild horses, which have influenced her work today as well her positions as a veterinary technician (1991-1995) and advanced wild horse specialist for the Bureau of Land Management (2005-2010). She also holds both a Bachelor and Master's degree, completed over 260 credit hours in equine dentistry and is the founder and owner of Horsemedix Veterinary Clinic.
